Kitten Play...

What is Kitten Play?

Kitten play is similar to Pony Play and is often seen in the BDSM community, though it may be more prominent in Asia than in the United States. Participants enjoy dressing in character, including ears and tail, and possibly furry leggings and arm wraps and being "forced" to take part in humiliating acts such as:

Crawling on hands and knees.
Communicating with purrs and meows
Drinking and eating from a pet bowl
Wearing a collar (bells and name tags are nice extras)
Sleeping on the floor, in a kennel cage, or on a pet pillow.
Being walked on a leash both privately and publicly.
Forced to use a litterbox

Sacred Secrets TOP PICK of The Month

Dark Diva's recommends Sacred Secrets as one of their Top Picks from October.

Here is a portion of their review:
Jen said: "There was a lot of action and emotion packed into Sacred Secrets. Roxy Harte took me on a roller coaster ride of new experiences and self-revelation. I truly enjoyed watching Celia’s transformation from fetish reporter to BDSM slave. It was insightful, descriptive and, at times, poignant. My heart went out to both of these characters and I felt vested in the outcome.

Without the underlying suspense storyline this book would have still been quite interesting and engaging; however, the suspense ratcheted up the anticipation of reading each page.

This book had a fantastic ending in and of itself, but also a cliffhanger for lack of a better work. I, for one, cannot wait for the second book in the Chronicles of Surrender Series to find out what happens to Garrett and Celia (oh, and we mustn’t forget Thomas!)."

Thank you Jen and Dark Diva's for reviewing Sacred Secrets!

AT WORK

I was supposed to be playing with grandbabies today ... instead I am working on edits for Sacred Revelations; and grandbabies get to spend the day with their Auntie.

The nice thing about edits is that you get to see how wonderful and amazing your story is after months of not seeing it and often times with a fresh I just sit back and say "Wow. I wrote that."

The horrifying thing about edits is there is so much left unsaid, unwritten ... and I am reminded I have a forth installment to write: Echos of Redemption.

There are some serious loose ends which need tied up...

The menage is being torn at by outside responsibilities, namely Thomas's whose wife and children are still in Africa and in daily danger; Thomas's brother who is also a secret agent, undercover and in constant danger; and lest we forget Eva, who is still holding a grudge against both Thomas and his brother.

And then there is Celia...
And Garrett...

Each dealing with feelings of insecurity and doubt.

I encourage you, if you have yet to start reading The Chronicles of Surrender, please mark September 7th on your calendar so you can start the series with Lyrical's rerelease of Sacred Secrets!

Sacred Secrets ...

Lyrical Press will be releasing Sacred Secrets in e-book on September 7. More info to come...

Nice cover though:)

The new tagline is:

Yes, I Admit It...

I'm a Trekkie...always have been, always will be...that said I would like to say that the new STAR TREK is amazing. I loved it so much I cried when it was over because I didn't want the movie to end. Sigh. Anyone heard if there is going to be a Star Trek II?

Still working on Sacred Secret edits...
And turned in the cover art request form for Sacred Secrets so I'm very excited!

It's Called Multitasking...

When kids get distracted ...it's called ADD.
When white-collar workers get distracted... it's called Adult ADD/

When writer's get distracted ... it's called procrastination.

My family knows when I'm procrastinating...I mop, I vacuum, sometimes I even get out the toothbrush to do the corners that nobody really gives a shit about.

But when I'm focused...and working...
It's called multi-tasking...
It's a little MANIC.

For example, I can watch Netflix on one computer, write on a second computer, and do edits on a third computer...that's called multi-tasking in my house. It gets a little confusing sometimes, not for me, but for my family. They don't seem to understand that I can divide my attention three ways but not hear a word they say. Of course that is the perfect excuse for my teenage daughter who can always say, "I told you my plans..." followed by "You never listen to a word I say."

New house rule instated...
If it involves you being out past midnight, grab mom's face and make her read your lips.
I'm not joking.

I think today went well. Still on edits for Sacred Secrets but moving briskly along. Have I mentioned how much I love this book? This book has my heart in it and a little bit of my soul. I am soooo glad Lyrical Press is releasing as both ebook and print. This book really needs to be a page turner...real paper pages that can be folded down to mark favorite scenes...

God, I have so many favorite scenes in this book.

Chronicles of Surrender Celebration Week...Continues

The question for YOU...
Who is my favorite character to write?

A question from ME: Why the hard questions? These are almost impossible to answer!

Okay...I love Jackie...I dream of the day she gets her own story:)
Haven't met Jackie yet? She makes appearances in all three Chronicles of Surrender as Garrett's MtoF transgendered best friend. Imagine 6'6" Cocoa-skinned, loud, opinionated, hormonal, clothing fetish, shoe fetish, wig fetish...in love with Garrett, in hate with Lord Fyre, who has a poodle-boy as a pet and an entourage of a dozen or more flaming gay men...did I mention a career?...I don't know that she has one other than being a personality...like Paris Hilton except with an adam's apple and a bigger cup size...

* * *

I've also been dwelling on yesterday's question...
I think each book had a favorite moment in a scene:

Remember when Garrett bought Celia at auction?

Or when he introduced her to the idea of pretending to be a cat?

Remember when Lord Fyre caught Celia using the cell phone without permission?

Or when he stayed on the phone talking to Celia while she fell asleep?
